Everyone Can Do Something

At OneHope27 we know that not everyone can be foster parents or adoptive parents. However we also know that scripture paints a clear picture for us to love those lacking care, support or concern. These are the Orphans, the Widows, the “least of these” – the children and families involved in foster care.

We all have gifts, resources, and abilities or “something” we can do to impact those involved in foster care with the HOPE of Christ! It is our heart to serve the Christian community in the greater Milwaukee area and assist you in finding that “something” that you can to.

One great way to be involved is to donate clothing and PJ’s to kids entering foster care. Many times children enter foster care with only the clothes on their back. It is such a pleasure to give them something clean, something new, something all their own. A simple outfit and pair of Pajamas can speak volumes to a child in foster care.  We currently have 1 school, 2 churches and 2 small groups running drives to donate to this project! One church even set a goal for the number of PJ’s they collected and when they surpassed that goal their Pastor showed up at Sunday service in his PJ’s!

If holding a drive at your church, school or business, or donating as a family sounds like it could be your “something” please contact us at info@oehope27.org for resources to help you get started.
