Today we have a guest blogger, Paulette Drankiewicz. Paulette is a OneHope 27, inc. board member and rock star foster parent! Paulette fills many roles throughout the church and fostering community, we are beyond blessed to have her involved with our mission to FOSTER hope.
In my life I have been profoundly aware of God’s presence.
Prior to becoming a Christian, I always “knew” about God and His unfailing Love- and knew He wanted more from me and for me.
My husband and I answered God’s call to care for His children through our foster care system 10 years ago. Since then, we have fostered 30 children and He has blessed us with 6 more kids through adoption to add to our family of 3 biological children.
I have been in prayer for a few years for God to open the doors for a faith based initiative to call the church to obey his commands in Scripture to care for the orphans. My prayers have been answered by OneHope27.
My excitement for this God driven initiative could hardly be contained. So much so that I invited our Pastor for coffee early one morning and poured my heart out before him about OneHope27.
As God would have it, He moved my family from our home church earlier this year to The Ridge-at the time for reasons unbeknownst to us. Always striving to be obedient to Him, we moved with little questioning. It was with the birth of OneHope27 our questions were answered- The Ridge has a heart for orphan care-from our Lead Pastor and his wife who have adopted from China to the many foster parents who call The Ridge their home church. I am more than excited to get our Orphan Care Ministry off the ground. I can only imagine what God will do!
