Those Who Can Do, Those who Can’t Support

feet

Last week we welcomed a new little one into our home. As we adjusted back to a family of 5 with an instant newborn we were amazed at the support of those around us.

One friend traveled out of her way to pick up and deliver the specialty formula our new little was on. We had friends bring delicious meals and supplies like diapers – and even more important coffee! Family helped with our other kids and offered loving arms to hold a baby so I could get other things done around the house.

We are a foster family. We know that God has called us to be a safe, loving home for some of His children for a little while – sometimes forever. It is not always easy, but it is our privilege to walk out this passion God has placed on our hearts. We can foster, and we do.

Some of you reading this can not foster, but realize that God has called us all to do something. I encourage you to find your “something” you can do for kids and families involved in foster care. Maybe you can support another foster family as our friends and family have been supporting us these past couple weeks. Please hear me when I say that it just as important to have foster parents as it is those who support them!

If you are one of those who is, thank you. If you’re one of those who can, we would love to help you get started with the fostering process. If you are one of those who can’t We would love to help you discover your “something” that you can give and connect you to a family who can who you can support!
